Food Poverty Consultant, Buzz Lockleaze

Established in 2015, Buzz Lockleaze CIC serves to strengthen community wellbeing and resilience in Lockleaze. Embedded in the local community, Buzz seeks to develop a positive local food culture, create opportunities for social inclusion, and strengthen the local economy. We deliver 3 projects to achieve these aims: a community cafe, health food shop & garden, a bespoke employment & economy programme, and a community development project tackling social isolation in older people.

We are seeking a Food Poverty Consultant to lead and develop our aim of improving the local food culture. You will engage both local organisations and residents to develop sustainable initiatives that tackle food poverty in Lockleaze. The Buzz Café and shop will provide the base for this project. You will be directly responsible to the Buzz Board of Directors and report monthly and attend Board meetings.

Hours: 21 hours a week (temporary 6 month contract)
Location: Buzz Café, Lockleaze, Bristol
Salary: £7,500
