Bristol Noise 2021 - Where and when

After a difficult year, The Noise weekend is back on the May bank holiday weekend (1st-3rd May)!

The last year has been extremely challenging for all of us due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Noise weekend, an annual volunteering event that sees local churches and hundreds of individuals come together to run free community events and practical community projects, was cancelled for the first time in 20 years.

This provided new opportunities for the Bristol Noise team to work with churches to tackle food poverty and encourage volunteering and practical support in local neighbourhoods throughout 2020.

One year later, with careful planning and consideration alongside Government guidelines, The Noise weekend is back!

On the May bank holiday weekend (1st-3rd May) over 400 volunteers from across the city will be rolling up their sleeves, putting on brightly coloured t-shirts and getting stuck into practical projects and free events across Bristol.

This year will look different and is on a smaller scale, as adjustments have been made to keep people safe, but the vision remains the same to ‘show God’s love in practical ways through serving local communities in Bristol.

Rachel Varley (part of the core team), from Lockleaze, explains:

“We’re excited to host ‘The Noise’ across Bristol again this year and we hope that the free community events being put on will help people to reconnect with others living near to them.

Each year, we seek to encourage those working hard to bring positive change in communities all year round and show love to individuals and families who are facing tough times.

We know that working together in this practical way, makes Bristol a better place for everyone.”
