SBAS Provides Free, Professional, Confidential Advice and Information to Residents of South Bristol Seeking Help with Welfare Benefits and Debt.
Founded in 1997, SBAS is a charitable organisation staffed by experienced advisers and volunteers. We provide advice and information on Welfare Benefits and Debt.
If you are seeking assistance in areas we do not specialise in, we can usually signpost you to a specialist agency that does. These might include housing, employment, immigration, consumer, custody and relationship issues.
We also work with local agencies, including Bristol Credit Union and Avon and Bristol Law Centre, to bring a range of specialist services to the local area.
We run confidential drop-in sessions at the Withywood Centre as well as at Community based venues across South Bristol. The areas that we cover are for people living in South Bristol, usually in the postcode areas BS3, BS4, BS13 and BS14 but also some parts of BS1.
