COVID-19 Update: Homelessness Services Changes Updates

Updates of interruptions and changes to homelessness services in Bristol due to Covid-19, as well as any pop-up provisions.

Services that are temporarily closed:

Spring of Hope night shelter is currently closed whilst alternative way of operating is determined 

The Julian Trust  night shelter is currently closed whilst alternative way of operating is determined

Docklands Youth Centre is currently closed whilst alternative way of operating is determined 

All Bristol libraries are temporarily closed

Street Life has currently ceased operations 

Changes to existing services:

B.O.S.H  are currently doing food outreach every morning and evening Monday to Friday, 9am and 5pm outside the Union Street Tesco Metro, Broadmead. They are replacing their Sunday drop-in service with an extra food outreach on Sunday 10am at the same location. 

The Homeless Health Service are now doing phone triage rather than face-to-face appointments. Their number is 0117 9892450. 

Citizens Advice Bristol are no longer providing their face-to-face drop-in service, but are providing a telephone advice service reachable at 03444 111444.

Bristol Methodist Centre  is closed for usual service with no access to the building, they are running a series of relief days providing take-away food and essentials at the door. The first relief day is Monday 30th of March 11am-12.30pm and is due to recur every Monday. 

Borderlands will no longer be running their Monday and Tuesday drop-in sessions. They will be offering take away meals to all refugees and asylum-seekers in lieu of their drop-in next Tuesday lunchtime. 

Bristol StreetVet  have been advised to stop their outreach service. They are still working with their clients to ensure their pets can receive urgent medical care through their partners. If not an emergency they can be reached through their email, and in the case of an emergency their emergency number is 0800 0385747.
